10 More Abducted Bethel Baptist High School Students Regain Freedom
Ten more out of the 121 students of Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna, kidnapped by bandits have regained their freedom.
The students were released on Sunday afternoon, reportedly after the payment of an undisclosed amount for ransom and they have since then returned to their parents.
Recall that 121 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna, were abducted in their school on 5 July, 2021 and since then they have been released in batches with 11 of the abducted students still in the hands of the kidnappers at the moment.
The state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend John Joseph Hayab, don’t sclosed that the remaining 11 students are still in the hands of the bandits and they are trying all possible best to help them return to thier parents as early as possible.
He said: “We are still pleading with the bandits to please have mercy on the students and the parents to release the students for them to be reunited with their parents and for the parents to have peace in their hearts.”
He thanked Nigerians for their prayers and support and expressed confidence that the prayers of his children would not go in vain, calling on Nigerians to continue to pray for the release of those in captivity.
Reverend Hayab however assured that the remaining students in captivity will return to their parents very soon, assuring hands are on deck to ensure their safe release.
