20-year-old first year student of the University of Ilorin, Ibrahim Ayanleke Abiodun, could not resist shedding tears as he emerged the latest winner of a three-bedrom apartment in the ongoing Glo Festival of Joy Promo.
The student, along with his equally joyful mother were announced the winner of the Glo Promo House and were presented with the three-bedroom flat at an event held in Lagos, today.
The proceeding of the presentation was intermittently interrupted a few times to accommodate Abiodun and his mom’s expressions of joyful tears as they received the keys to their new house.
Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area, Engineer Abdullahi Olowa; a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly,representing Etiosa Constituency I, Honourable Noherm Adams, and Globacom officials, were among those who witnessed the presentation.
In his speech, Engineer Abdullahi Olowa appreciated what he described as the great strides of Globacom, stating that the company had, since inception, pioneered and sustained the noble tradition of putting subscribers first in its operations.
“It is heartwarming to note that Globacom still keeps faith with the tradition of adding wholesome value to the lives of its subscribers,” he said.
Recalled that Ibrahim Akindele, a 19-Year-Old 200-Level student of the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, emerged the first winner of a three-bedroom bungalow at an event held in Ibadan, last month.
Ola Owonifari, a mechanical engineer based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, became the second winner of a three-bedroom in the ongoing Glo Festival of Joy Promo.
48-Year-Old Chukwu Reuben Okorie, businessman from Abia State, became the third winner at the Abuja edition of the promo.
Globacom’s Regional Manager, Lagos 1, Mr. Temitope Ayeni, encouraged subscribers who wish to participate in the promo to “dial the dedicated short code *611# and recharge as appropriate to stand a chance to win any of the prizes on offer.
“Subscribers who desire to win any of the 3-bedroom houses must make data subscriptions up to at least N20,000 during the promo period. The more they recharge, the higher the chances of winning,” he said.
