A housewife has been alleged to have sold a big mansion, being her husband’s property, for a paltry sum of N10million.
The man (name not disclosed), who was seen in a 3:07-minute video clip that has gone viral on the Social Media, claimed that he built a four-flat structure on a landed property that he bought for N9.5million.
The man, who apparently traveled out of the country at one point, said that, apart from the N9.5million, he paid agency fee, paid a lawyer and also paid the community the sum of N500, 000 as development levy before he could acquire the land.
Though the location of the mansion was not mentioned and the story contained in the video cannot be authenticated, the man however lamented: “This is my property that was sold for N10million by my wife, you understand?
“How can you sell a property like this for N10million? This is my property that my wife sold for N10million after I have built a four-flat building on it.
“I bought only this land for N9.5million; paid agency fee; paid lawyer; the community I paid N500, 000 for development fee. Then I left the property after I had roofed it, put all the protectors [burglaries] and plaster everything. She [the wife] sold it for N10million.
“Everybody that hears this news should help me to post it; let it go viral on the Social Media. A woman that I called my wife; I traveled and left her to take care of the property.
“All the things that you are seeing, I am the one that fixed them. This is the house that I have built. I have already roofed it and did everything.
“They said they sold it for N10million and the person agreed to buy this kind of property for N10million. All the iron doors, I [had] already fixed them before I left o. I had already finished [fixing] all these protectors [burglaries].”
A male voice heard in the short video, in an admixture of English Language and Pidgin English, described the situation as heartbreaking and admonished people, especially those in the Diaspora, not to trust anybody with their property or money.
“Oh no!!! This is heartbreaking; this is very very heartbreaking. My people, this video, the reason why we post am is for you guys to share this particular video and let others see it.
“This is especially for those of you that live in the Diaspora to know that sending money back home or that you have a wife that you left back home or husband, brother, sister, father, mother and other relatives and you trust them so much with what you have suffered for.
“I think watching this video will give you some sense. Just imagine a wife, your own wife that you paid her dowry and that you trusted so much, na im go carry sell your own house for N10million. Just imagine the man said he bought the land alone for N9.5million.
“It is very pathetic; it is very very painful; it is unbearable. I beg, make una share this video, make others learn from am before you go fall a victim,” the voice said.
