Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has joined others to celebrate the Chief Imam of Ibadanland and Grand Imam of Oyo State, His Eminence Sheikh AbdulGaniy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, on his birthday.
The birthday celebrant is also the Grand Patron of the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States.
Chief Sanusi, the Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, congratulated the renowned Islamic cleric in a statement he personally signed.
He extolled the virtues of Sheikh Agbotomokekere, describing him as “a spiritual compass, an embodiment of wisdom, and a living symbol of Islamic excellence whose leadership continues to inspire generations.”
Sanusi commended the Chief Imam for his lifelong commitment to Islamic propagation, peacebuilding, and moral guidance.
He noted that the impactful leadership of Sheikh Agbotomokekere has strengthened the religious fabric of Ibadanland, Oyo State, and the entire South-West Region.
“On this glorious occasion of Baba Imam’s birthday anniversary, I celebrate a father in faith, a beacon of light, and a custodian of righteousness.
“His Eminence, Sheikh AbdulGaniy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, has not only led us in prayers but has guided us with divine wisdom, humility, and unwavering dedication to Allah’s service,” it was stated in the statement.
Sanusi also reaffirmed his personal admiration and continued support for the spiritual mission of the Imam. He cited their shared vision for the advancement of Islam and the growth of the Agbotomokekere Central Mosque as a sacred legacy for future generations.
“May Almighty Allah grant His Eminence long life in good health, increase him in knowledge, and strengthen him to continue his invaluable role as the spiritual light of our land,” he concluded.
