Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Dr) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin 1), in collaboration with the Olubadan Advisory Council, has revoked the appointment of two mogajis in Ibadanland.
The duo whose appointments were revoked were Chief Musilu Yekini Olaoye (Peluseriki Compound, Isale Osi, Ibadan) and Chief Rasaki Funso Ayinde Oguntobi (Oloola Ogungbesan Compound, Bode, Ibadan).
The revocation of the two appointments were contained in a press release from the Olubadan Palace by the media aide to Oba Olakulehin, Chief Olugbemiga Ayoade.
According to the release, the two appointments were revoked as a result of non-support of their family members to their emergence as, fugitive attitude towards their nomination and other offences detrimental to their positions as mogajis.
The revocation of the two appointments, approved by Oba Olakulehin and the Advisory Council, were with immediate effect.
The Plenary Session of the Olubadan Advisory Council, held on 7 April, 2025 resolved and approved the revocation of the appointment of the two mogajis.
Oba Olakulehin further warned the two appointees to henceforth stop parading themselves as mogajis in Ibadanland.
