Is Breast Still A Private Part?

Indecent dressing

“So I ask, is the breast still a private part—or is it now public property?

“In today’s Lagos, many young women bend forward and risk their “bread” falling out. It’s a terrifying circus of fashion madness.”

There’s a storm brewing in our society—and it’s not subtle anymore. The signs are loud, clear, and disturbing: morality is collapsing right before our eyes, and we’re clapping for it like it’s a stage performance.

We’ve copied almost every rotten thing from the Western World while turning our backs on the few moral values they still uphold. Indecency is now fashionable, and no one even bats an eyelid.

In today’s Nigeria—especially at Lagos parties—you’d be forgiven for wondering if breasts are still private parts. At any “owanbe” gathering, they’re flaunted proudly like fashion accessories: large, small, round, pointed—every shape is on full display. The cleavage war has gone mainstream. From birthday parties to weddings, from red carpet events to even religious gatherings, the sacred has been replaced with the seductive.

When exactly did we cross the line?

When did seduction become culture?

When did harlotry become honourable?

It baffles me how we now enter churches with our bosoms hanging out, and no one dares to correct it. From “God looks at the heart” to “It’s just a little cleavage,” we’ve slowly tiptoed into full-blown nudity—while still claiming to be God’s daughters. Today, all it takes to be trendy is to wear a dress that covers only the nipple and leaves the rest of the chest exposed.

Haaa! When did our sisters start dressing like harlots and still expect to be seen as saints?

Someone, please explain how a woman can dress like Jezebel on Sunday morning and still expect angelic encounters. Is your body truly the temple of the Holy Spirit—or has it become an altar of lust and deception?

We started with crop tops. Then came off-shoulders. From there, we graduated to tube tops. Now the reigning trend is a “nipple-cover” dress that parades the entire chest—and we’re supposed to clap because it’s “stylish.”

So I ask, is the breast still a private part—or is it now public property?

In today’s Lagos, many young women bend forward and risk their “bread” falling out. It’s a terrifying circus of fashion madness.

Even worse, some of us have become cheerleaders of this chaos. A so-called “daughter of Zion” posts half-naked pictures online, and instead of correction, we type “🔥🔥🔥,” “Queen,” and “Slay mama!”

You mean she should keep slaying morality? You mean she should continue in nudity and advance in spiritual bankruptcy?

Where are the Esthers of our time?

Where are the Deborahs whose lives reflect kingdom values, even in foreign lands?

Where are the true daughters of Zion whose dressing brings glory—not shame—to God?

Today’s fashion trends are not just driven by peer pressure; they’re fuelled by the example of many Nollywood actresses, who, through their risqué roles and revealing red-carpet appearances, have become role models for millions of impressionable girls. They step out half-naked, adorned with glitter and lace, and get celebrated with sponsorship deals and movie roles.

At Lagos parties, you’ll see dresses that look like they were designed by demons: sheer nettings, plunging necklines, and thigh-high slits that leave little to the imagination.

Some ladies even walk around in body-hugging gowns that reveal everything underneath but the bloodstream. The goal is no longer elegance; it is attention, oppression, seduction—and social media likes.

Actresses who once played humble village girls now lead the charge in promoting the “slay culture,” shaping a future where nudity is aspiration and modesty is mocked. They’ve become the measuring stick, the new role models, telling our daughters through every post and every red carpet: “You’re not enough unless you’re half-naked.”

But let me be clear: a woman of purpose does not dress to kill; she dresses to glorify God. A woman in tune with the Holy Spirit will never step out looking like a billboard for lust. She is aware that her body is sacred—a temple, not a nightclub stage.

Temples are holy. Temples are preserved. Temples are respected and protected.

So again, I ask you:

When will you begin to dress godly—so that at first glance, people will say: “Truly, this one belongs to the Lord”?

Say NO to indecent dressing.

Say NO to harlot fashion.

Say YES to purity, modesty, and purpose.
