Gunmen Abduct Bank, RCC Staff At Oyo Quarry
A staff of Polaris Bank and another staff of construction giant, RCC, were reportedly abducted by suspected gunmen at a quarry site in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Monday.
An unconfirmed source gave the names of the abductees as Popoola Isaac and Ismail Adeoye, adding that the gunmen stormed Binu Quarry, situated at Dalli Village, along Ibadan/Ijebu-Ode Road in Ibadan where they made away with the victims.
The latest abduction came few months after some gunmen reportedly stormed a quarry site at Akinyele Local Government Area of the state where they kidnapped some workers.
The Oyo Police spokesman, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident, just as it was gathered that the case has been reported at the Idi Ayunre Police Station, Ibadan.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) said “efforts intensified to get them released and also arrest the abductors.”
