Governorship Aspirant Sues For Decorum As APC Holds Congress
A notable governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mr Kayode Ojo, has sued for decorum and orderliness as the party prepares for the local and state delegate congress.
Ojo, in a statement by his Director of Media, Alhaji Deji Ayelabowo, advised leaders and members of the party in the state to avoid all acts that can truncate the exercise.
He admonished that the party congresses should be peaceful and orderly and serve as a lesson to other political parties in the state and in the entire nation.
“All eyes are on the party, hence, it must not give room for any disorderliness. Both members and leaders of the party must work in harmony to ensure a hitch-free exercise,” he said.
The metallurgical and materials engineer also called for unity among members in order to move the party forward, adding that the APC could not afford to go to elections with a divided house.
Ojo urged stakeholders of the party to allow for a level-playing ground for all contestants so in order not to give room for protest votes during elections.
The governorship aspirant promised to continue to play his role as a stakeholder towards strengthening the party and also urged members to elect credible candidates into various offices in the interest of the party and to ensure its victory in future elections.
He appealed to APC members to continue to work for the progress and development of the party and assured that he would ensure that the party retains power in the 2022 elections in the state.
