Senator Sharafadeen Alli has praised the moral and spiritual leadership of the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiyy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, congratulating him on his 90th birthday.
The lawmaker, in a statement by his media office on Sunday, lauded the Chief Imam, describing him as a spiritual beacon, and a revered symbol of peace and wisdom in the society.
Senator Alli extolled the lifetime commitment of Sheikh Agbotomokekere to Islamic propagation, interfaith harmony and moral leadership.
The lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District said the nonagenarian cleric has remained a unifying figure in Ibadanland and beyond.
Senator Alli said the tireless service of Sheikh Agbotomokekere to the Muslim Ummah and the larger society was a reflection of his deep faith, humility and compassion.
He also stated that the teachings and exemplary life of the Chief Imam has continue to inspire generations.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the esteemed cleric sound health, long life and continued wisdom to guide the faithful and contribute meaningfully to the development of Ibadanland as well as Nigeria.
Senator Alli urged Muslim faithful and all Ibadan indigenes to continue to draw from the vast fountain of knowledge, spirituality and guidance of the Chief Imam.
He described the 90th birthday of Sheikh Agbotomokekere as a remarkable milestone worthy of celebration and gratitude.
