Afolabi, Ex-LG Chair Aspirant, Congratulates Elected APC Excos In Oyo Federal Constituency
A former local government chairmanship aspirant, Mogaji Adesina Afolabi, has congratulated newly-elected executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East and Oyo West local government areas of Oyo State.
Afolabi, popularly known as Mandate, in a statement made available to www.newscoven.ng was at Idi-Ope Primary School, venue of the party’s local congress, where he applauded the peaceful conduct of the exercise in Oyo Federal Constituency.
He applauded members of the party for their high level of compliance towards ensuring smooth, free, fair, credible and acceptable congress across the four local government areas constituting the federal constituency.
Mogaji Afolabi charged the newly-elected local executives to be dutiful and upright in the discharge of their constitutional obligations, noting that the task ahead is for the party to return to its pre-2019 winning ways at all levels in the state.
“I must congratulate you all for emerging victorious in the local government congress of our great party. In the same vein, I want to admonish you all to be dutiful and upright in discharging your constitutional obligations.
“I will also like to let you know that the exercise of today is just a foundation to the great task ahead of us. We must return the APC back to its winning ways like we had it between 2021 and 2019.
“Let us work together to achieve this. It is not an insurmountable challenge. We only need unity and a sense of common purpose to do it. We must unite to make sure that we return the APC back to power in 2023,” he said.
