All roads lead to Ago-Iwoye Secondary School, Ago-Iwoye Ijebu, Ogun State on Wednesday, 26 July, 2023.
The day is set aside to celebrate with the 1969/73 iconic set of the foremost secondary school in the ancient kingdom.
This was contained in a statement by the General Secretary of the set, Samuel Adegboyega Adebajo.
The Ebumawe and paramount ruler of Ago-Iwoye Kingdom, Oba Razak Adenugba will be the Chief Host at the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
It will showcase the completed multi-million naira projects donated to the school by the 1969/73 set.
Among the projects are: a new borehole for the school community which included geophysics survey, plumbing and electrification.
Also included are erection and installation of water tanks and restoration of municipal power supply to the school community.
Others are procurement and installation of pre-paid meters; and institutionalisation of annual cash prize wards to overall three best students.
It was also stated in the statement that several activities have been lined up to celebrate the 1969/73 sets.
These included a public lecture, luncheon and commissioning of the various projects donated to the school.
A reunion dance to round up the Golden Jubilee celebrations will feature also in the loaded programme of events.
