Barrister Ajeniyi Ajewole was, on Friday, sworn in as the President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), alongside other elected members of the executive.
The swearing in ceremony was held at the Ibadan House, Oke Aremo at the Annual General Meeting of the socio-cultural organisation.
It had in attendance prominent sons and daughters of Ibadanland from different clubs and walks of life.
The new President General, pledged to lead an all-inclusive administration and give priority to the views, opinions and interests of all Ibadan indigenes, home and abroad.
Ajewole promised to cater to the needs of the old, young, men, women, rich, poor and all affiliate clubs of the CCII with everything God has blessed him with.
The new CCII P-G appreciated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Mohood Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade 1, and the Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde.
He also thanked members of his campaign team, the immediate past executive, led by Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga, and all Ibadan indigenes for their overwhelming dedication to the development of Ibadan land.
Ajewole stated that with the quality of men and women in the new executive, he was confident of excellent performance and delivery in office as the CCII P-G.

The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes is an umbrella body for all the socio-cultural societies/clubs of Ibadan extraction both at home and in diaspora.
One of the main objectives for its formation is to provide a forum for the coordination and harmonization of the development efforts of the constituent societies towards the promotion of economic, social, education and cultural interest of Ibadanland with a view to achieving the fullest measure of effectiveness.
