Friends and associates of Dr Yemi Farounbi, Nigeria’s former Ambassador to the Philippines, will, next week, hold their maiden public lecture in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The lecture, organised by “Friends Yemi Farounbi Platform”, centres on the state of the national economy and the forthcoming 2023 elections.
The lecture, titled “Economy and 2023 Elections”, will hold at the Oyo NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku Quarters, Ibadan by 3pm, on Tuesday, 10th January, 2023.
As contained in an invite by the Platform Administrator, Mr Clement Ige, the maiden public lecture will be a gathering of prominent Nigerians to share their views on the economy, vis-a-vis the conduct of the elections.
The lecture will hold under the chairmanship of Chief Adebisi Adesola, a former General Manager of the Broadcasting Service of Oyo State (BCOS), with Mr Yomi Davies as the Officiating Officer.
Discussants at the lecture include Comrade Mashood Erubami, and seasoned journalists- Dr Festus Adedayo, Mrs Kemi Ajayi and Dr Femi Adefila.
“This is our own little way to contribute to sustainable economic growth and the advancement of democracy. Lets add our credible voice to the 2023 elections through our maiden public lecture,” Mr Ige added.
