Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, Chief Bayo Lawal, has charged indigenes of Oke Ogun zone of the state to engage in developmental politics in the interest of the area.
The running mate to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde in the 2023 elections gave the charge while speaking at the 2022 Kishi Day, held in Kishi.
Lawal, according to a release by the Director (Information and Public Relations) of the Housing Corporation, Kunle Sanni, also spoke on the developmental strides of the present administration in the state.
These, he said, included the construction of Ibadan/Iseyin Road, Ogbomoso/Iseyin Road, Saki Township Road, relocation of the Faculty of Agriculture of LAUTECH to Iseyin and rehabilitation of OYSADEP in Saki.
The Kishi-born politician hinted that many more are still in the pipeline and admonished the people of Oke Ogun to reciprocate the gesture of Gov Makinde by giving him their maximum support and cooperation.
Lawal, who is the Bamofin of Kishi, said he was particularly pleased that the ancient town has continued to witness tremendous growth and success in all spheres.
The former Attorney-General of Oyo State expressed optimism that the town would continue to record many more breakthroughs in years ahead.
