APC Chieftain Advises Makinde To Sack Aides
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Elder Kayode Bamiduro, has advised the Oyo State governor, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde, to relieve most of his close allies of their jobs, for him to be remembered for good in the political history of the state.
He gave the advice in reaction to a recent report on the dissolution and collapsing of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) structures in Oyo State to the opposition APC in the state.
Bamiduro, from Egbeda Local Government Area of the state, said the development confirmed his earlier observation that Governor Makinde was surrounded by wicked and selfish politicians.
He added that this set of politicians were wrongly advising him not to accommodate people who could assist him in driving his administration better than what we are witnessing now.
The media and public relations expert expressed worries over what he described as “lack of focus in the administration of Engineer Makinde due to his inability to incorporate abled men and women with political and administrative experience into his almost two years administration.”
Bamiduro added that until he relieved all those he described morons around him and replace them with experienced professionals and political wizards, the Makinde administration will continue to swim in one place without making any headway.
He reminded the governor to stop believing he has achieved much simply because of paying salaries of workers and pensioners monthly stipends which he said are their statutory entitlements.
Bamiduro chided Governor Makinde for allegedly using consultants in tertiary institutions in the state as well as ‘importing’ artisans like welders from Bayelsa State to work when the state indigenes can always handle the jobs in the state.
“Your government didn’t realise that security issues can be tackled through provision of such jobs for the indigenes.
“For two years, we have been begging you also to pay us our statutory allowances as approved by your predecessor, the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, but you refused to pay us, but went ahead to pay your own appointees.
“We have decided to hold on for another two years. If you refused to do the right thing, another person will do at the appropriate time”, the APC chieftain concluded.
