Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Nigeria’s Ambassador Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Benin, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (rtd), on Saturday, paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Dr) Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II.
Oba Lekan Balogun was, on Friday, installed and coronated as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland by the governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde.
Buratai
The retired former Chief of Army Staff, who was present at the coronation ceremony, was at the private residence of the Olubadan to further felicitate the traditional ruler.
Also on the entourage with Lt. Gen. Buratai were some retired and serving top military officers and others, including Lt Gen LO Adeosun (rtd); Maj Gen II Abbah (rtd); Maj Gen S Olabanji – TRADOC Comd – Rep of COAS.

Others included Maj Gen G Chibuisi – GOC 2 Division NA; Brig Gen SK Usman (rtd); Cdre MB Teidi (rtd) Dr Manzo Ahmed; Alh Malawi Mohammed; Col EG Adegbola and Col Apata.
With them during the visit were Senator Kola Balogun, the senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, and the president of Providence Coalition, Prince Niran Adeyoju.
