A member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Adeoye Aribasoye, has described the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, as a role model per excellence.
The chairman of the House Committee on Interparliamentary Relations said in his congratulatory message to the governor on his 57th birthday, saying his years on earth have been rewarding and positively impactful.
Aribasoye, who represents Ikole Constituency II, said Governor Fayemi’s 57th birthday is worth celebrating, taking cognisance of the achievements and positive impacts he had brought to humanity.
The lawmaker stated that Governor Fayemi’s life is full of good stories and impressive exploits, thereby making him a role model to the youth and the coming generations.
Aribasoye, who is one of the closest political allies and foot-soldiers of the governor, disclosed that Fayemi, by his actions and character, had brought respect, recognition and pride to the average Ekiti man.
He said he was happy that Governor Fayemi had erased the erroneous impression that an average Ekiti man is not well cultured, based on happenings of the past, saying he had rewritten the history and brought honour to Ekitiland.
Aribasoye commended Governor Fayemi’s commitment to humanity in terms of offering of selfless services, human capital development, particularly youth and gearing up of efforts to bring rebranding and attitudinal change that were helping in making Ekiti youth to be real omoluabis.
“On behalf of myself and my family, I congratulate our dear leader and builder of great men and women, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, as he clocks 57 years today.
“I remember, with nostalgic feelings, how you fought hard for three and half years to reclaim the stolen mandate freely given to you by Ekiti people and that singular gesture laid the foundation for Ekiti’s respect, honour and greatness in terms of governance and politics.
“Fighting and taking such a long, tortuous journey to reclaim the mandate given to you by Ekiti people corroborated that fact that there is no extent you can’t go to protect Ekiti people.
“Apart from the superlative records that the governor was able to make, I am also pleased by his exploits in promoting Ekiti relegated eggheads and youth, including myself, to leadership positions, thereby making Ekiti to be having good and promising future.
“I know that Ekiti citizens will agree with me that in 100 years to come, Governor Fayemi’s name would still be reverberating in Ekiti as one governor, who came, saw and conquered through good governance.
“I salute the governor’s ever inflamed courage and pray for long life, good health and sound mind for him to be able to make more meaningful contributions to the country and global community,” Aribasoye wrote.
