Arisekola Restates Commitment To Development Of Oyo State
Renown publisher and businessman, Mogaji Bowale Oluwole Arisekola, has declared that he remain more committed to promoting the interests of the people and development of Ibadan and Oyo State in general.
The publisher of the Ireland-based magazine, Street Journal, made the declaration shortly after he was installed as the Mogaji Ajenigi-Eye of Yemetu-Oje by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso I.
Arisekola was, on Monday, installed as mogaji, along with 10 others, at a ceremony held at the Palace of Olubadan, Popo Yemoja, Ibadan.
The ceremony was attended by families, friends and close associates of Arisekola, most of whom described his installation as well deserved.
Arisekola, a highly resourceful person, is a journalist, publisher and entrepreneur who has diversified into some other fields of business, including the oil and gas sector.
Speaking with journalists, at his Old Bodija residence where he hosted guest after his installation, Mogaji Arisekola said his installation is another opportunity for him to work for and promote the greater interest of Ibadanland and Oyo State.
He said the chieftaincy title is a confirmation of what he has been doing in the past, adding that it would further propel him to work harder for the greater good of the people and the state.
He said: “This is just the beginning of greater things to come to my family and Ibadanland. I will continue to strive to promote the welfare of my people and the development of Ibadanland and Oyo State.
“My plan is to consult round to know what my people lack. Some of these things I have already been doing through my foundation by supporting Ibadan indigenes, widows and the less privileged in the society.”
Arisekola thanked the Olubadan and Olubadan-in-Council for installing him as the Mogaji Ajenigi-Eye of Yemetu-Oje, Ibadan and pledged to use the office for the betterment of mankind.
