Ahead of its 2026 Conference, the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has announced the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), Nigeria Customs Service and Dangote Group among other partners for the conference, taking place in Lagos.

The Guild Publicity Secretary, Ms Kemi Yesufu, made the announcement in a statement issued in Abuja, on Monday.
It was revealed that the other supporting partners included the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
Others are Bank of Industry (BoI), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Private sector organisations supporting the conference included TAJBank, Emadeb Energy, Setraco Limited, Sovereign Trust Insurance and Nestlé Nigeria Plc.
The 10th annual conference will hold at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Radisson Blu Hotel, Isaac John Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
The theme of the 2026 Conference is “2027 Elections: Trust, Transparency and Shared Responsibilities.”
Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Amupitan, SAN, will deliver the keynote address.
Founding partner of Olisa Agbakoba Legal (OAL) and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Dr Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, will chair the conference.
The panelists included CP Abayomi Shogunle, Commissioner of Police, Election Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Force Headquarters, Abuja; Prof Tayo Popoola, Head of the Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos;
Adaora Onyechere Sydney-Jack, Creative Director of Gender Agenda and founder of WEWE Network Afrique; and Lanre Arogundade, Executive Director of the International Press Centre (IPC).
GOCOP Deputy President and Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, Olumide Iyanda, thanked the organisations supporting the conference.

“Their contributions are an important part of making this year’s conference possible,” he stated in the statement.
Iyanda added that the support from organisations in the public and private sectors would help the Guild deliver the conference as it marked the 10th edition of the annual event.
The conference will examine the responsibilities of electoral institutions, political actors, security agencies, the media, civil society and citizens in strengthening public confidence in Nigeria’s electoral process ahead of the 2027 general election.
GOCOP is a business membership organisation of 127 online publications in Nigeria.
Its members are media entrepreneurs who own and operate digital publishing businesses across the country.
The Guild promotes the business and ethics of online publishing, professional standards and the collective interests of its members.
It also works to strengthen the sustainability and credibility of digital journalism in Nigeria.
