Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olusola Alao, has extended felicitation to Muslims in the ancient town and across Nigeria on the occasion of Sallah 2026 celebration
The traditional ruler stated in a press release the need for Islamic faithful and other Nigerians to thank Allah for preservation of life and the privilege to participate in another Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

Oba Alao pointed out that the Islamic festival symbolises faith and sacrifice by Prophet Ibrahim, noting that it also showed the faithfulness and mercy of God at critical times.
The traditional ruler urged Muslims to emulate the Prophet in faith and willingness to sacrifice to please God, assuring that God never fails to reward faith and sacrifice.
He called on Muslims to be security-conscious during and after the celebration, stressing that by collective efforts, Nigeria will triumph over the evil of insecurity.
He used the occasion to commend security agencies working tirelessly to rescue pupils and teachers abducted in Esiele Community in Oriire Local Government Area, urging them not to relent in the efforts to secure the release of the victims.
While commiserating with the family of the teacher murdered by the kidnappers, Oba Alao advised residents to cooperate with security agencies and report suspected persons and movements around them to aid safety of all.
