The Ijebu Professional Excellence Foundation (IPEF) has declared its support for Otunba Dapo Okubadejo as a suitable running mate in a joint ticket with the Ogun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (aka Yayi).
IPEF made this known in a statement, on Friday, by its chairman, Prince Jamiu Saka, an insurance guru and legal practitioner.
The group described Okubadejo as a seasoned professional with the competence, experience, and leadership capacity required to effectively complement the APC governorship candidate.
Okubadejo, currently the state Commissioner for Finance and Economic Adviser to the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, was described as a distinguished individual with meritorious service and notable contributions to the achievements of the present administration.
As contained in the statement, the extensive background in economic management, governance, and strategic development of Okubadejo placed him in a strong position to add value to a joint ticket aimed at delivering people-oriented and result-driven leadership in Ogun State.
“IPEF stands firmly on the pillars of professionalism, integrity, and excellence. Otunba Dapo Okubadejo has consistently exemplified these values in both public and private service.
“His emergence on a joint ticket with Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) will undoubtedly enhance governance and inspire public confidence,” the statement read.
IPEF further disclosed that it was finalising arrangements to confer a Premium Award of Excellence on Okubadejo in recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service and professional development.
It noted that the award ceremony will attract distinguished personalities, professionals, and key stakeholders from across Ijebuland and beyond, in line with its commitment to celebrating excellence and promoting impactful leadership.
The IPEF chairman, Prince Saka, restated the Foundation’s dedication to advancing professional excellence in Ijebuland, stressing that honouring deserving individuals remained a core part of its mandate.
The prominent group stated that more details regarding the date and venue of the award ceremony will be announced in due course.
