Solomon Arase, a former Inspector General of Police (IGP), has been reported dead, aged 69.
The late former police chief, who was born on 21 June, 1956, was reported, on Sunday, to have died at Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja.
Arase, who was the 18th IGP, served as the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) after his retirement from the Force.
As at press time, there has been no official confirmation of his death by the Nigeria Police Force.
While his wife also did not pick her calls, some top shots in the Nigeria Police Force, however, confirmed the death of Arase.
A report also had it that the late IGP was, sometimes ago, seen on a wheelchair as he was boarding a flight to London.
