Senator Sharafadeen Alli has received four different awards within one week, in recognition of his exemplary dedication to public service and transformation of the society.
The awards received by the federal lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District were as contained in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, on Sunday.
The awards were conferred on him by Solution FM Ibadan, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), Oyo State chapter and the Nigeria Union of Tailors (NUT), Ibadan South-West Special.
Alli, who is presently on the YIAGA Delegation to monitor the presidential election in Ghana, was represented at the various events by his wife, Alhaja Tawakalitu Alli; Dr Gafar Salaudeen; Hon. Bamidele Raheem; Mr Ayo Adedokun; Mr Idris Agboola; Mr Gbenga Elegbede and Mr Kabir Adelere.
The awards, it was stated, underscored the remarkable contributions of Senator Alli to governance, community development and nation-building.
Solution FM Ibadan, a private media organisation, honoured Senator Alli as the Best Senator of the Year for his impactful representation and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
The station lauded his transparency, responsiveness and focus on grassroots development, highlighting his efforts in delivering the dividends of democracy and promoting unity across the senatorial district.
FIDA recognised the senator for his exceptional advocacy for gender equality and women’s rights, presenting him with a distinguished award for his legislative efforts to empower women and protect the marginalised.
Similarly, ICSAN celebrated the legislative excellence of Alli with the Distinguished Membership Governance Award of Excellence in National Legislation, affirming his status as a transformative leader committed to sustainable development and good governance.
The NUT, Ibadan South-West Special also presented Alli with the Gold Award of Excellence, acknowledging his humility and unwavering service to society.
In addition to these honours, the Coalition of Driving School Associations of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter, appointed Senator Alli as its Grand Patron, further solidifying his reputation as a leader of great influence and integrity.
In his acceptance speeches, Senator Alli expressed heartfelt gratitude to his constituents and supporters, attributing his achievements to their unwavering trust and the collaborative efforts of his team.
He reaffirmed his dedication to implementing policies and initiatives that address societal needs, promote justice and enhance the quality of life for all.
