Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Chairman/CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, has commended the three senators and two members of House of Representatives from Oyo State for their contributions to the development of the state.
Sanusi, Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, gave the commendation in statement signed by the business mogul on Saturday.
He singled out Senators Sharafadeen Alli (Oyo South); Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North) and Yunus Akintunde (Oyo Central) and two members of the House of Representatives, Hon Abass Adigun Agboworin (Ibadan South East/Ibadan North/East) and Remi Oseni (Ibarapa East/Ido), for what he described as their “outstanding achievements towards the development of the state.”
Sanusi acknowledged the dedication, genuine commitment of the five federal lawmakers to public service and significant contributions to the growth and development of their senatorial districts and constituencies.
He stated that the lawmakers have collectively continued to sponsor bills, moved motions that aligned with the development of the state and thereby displayed the characteristics of omoluabi ethos and Yoruba value system.
Sanusi stated that the lawmakers have continued to advance grassroots development in their constituency. He added that their series of groundbreaking initiatives and programmes aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the people have been impactful.
He noted that the three senators- both ranking and first term members- have continued to effortlessly provide opportunities for the economic growth and development in their different senatorial districts and constituencies.
“On road infrastructure bills, they are making good efforts to do all within their abilities to fight for an improved transportation networks to boost commerce and connectivity in the state.
“They have continued to advocate for policies that benefit the state and its people. So, these initiatives demonstrate the commitment of our senators and Reps members to the well-being of their constituents and the state at large,” Sanusi stated.
Lauding the lawmakers, Sanusi, a 2027 governorship hopeful, described them as beacons of hope in political development the Pacesetter State.
“I am always proud of you. You must be able to engage yourself in practical politics while not doing away with your second address, which is your occupation.
“I think these are political leaders who are future-driven and are prepared for the journey ahead in leadership positions.
“They probably do not want today’s unsolved problems to resurface again tomorrow, and they know leadership skills needed in contemporary society,” Sanusi added.
The billionaire business mogul also saluted the brazen commitment of the lawmakers. He commended their numerous empowerment programmes which he said have positively impacted the lives of their constituents in their senatorial districts and constituencies.
Sanusi noted that the noticeable development of their senatorial districts and constituencies, prior to and after their elections, warranted collective commendation and support.
“It is important to recognise that these lawmakers have shown considerable capacity, quality representation and a steadfast commitment to grassroot development.
“Their continued investments of personal resources both before and after their elections deserve commendation and encouragement,” he stated.
Sanusi, however, encouraged the lawmakers not to relent but to continue to collaborate and work cohesively for the continued progress of Oyo State.
