A women group, Funmi Obisesan Vanguard (FOV), has affirmed its support for the governorship ambition of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi and his vision for a better Oyo State.
The group, led by Engineer (Mrs) Funmi Obisesan, made the declaration, along with hundreds of women and volunteers during a courtesy visit on Sanusi, the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, on Wednesday.
The women, who share a common vision for a prosperous and progressive Oyo State, pledged their unwavering support for the aspirations of Sanusi, Chairman/CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort.
They affirmed their 100 per cent commitment to walking with Sanusi on his political journey, declaring their full backing for his leadership and decisions.
The leader of FOV, Engineer Obisesan, expressed the collective sentiments of the group: “Chief Sanusi is not just our father and a renowned philanthropist, but he has also dedicated himself to the development of Ona-Ara and Oyo State.
“We owe Chief Sanusi our loyalty and steadfast support in his political vision, as he has proven himself deserving of it. We will not relent until his vision for a better Oyo State is realised.”
The gathering was enlivened by inspiring songs and chants from the women, who demonstrated their enthusiasm and readiness for the task ahead.
Engineer Obisesan thanked the women and volunteers for their enduring commitment, expressing her gratitude in the presence of Chief Sanusi.
“We are united in a shared mission for a greater Ona-Ara. I deeply appreciate your support and, together, we will achieve our goals and reach the promised land,” she assured Chief Sanusi.
Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi is a leading governorship hopeful who aspires to succeed incumbent Governor ‘Seyi Makinde at the expiration of his second term tenure in 2027.
He has been receiving massive supports for the realisation of his governorship ambition from various groups and people, cutting across religious and socio-cultural groups and traditional rulers.
