Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland, has congratulated Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Agbaakin Parakoyi of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his 54th birthday.
Chief Sanusi, Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, praised Adelabu, who is currently the Minister of Power, for what he described as his remarkable contributions to both the financial and energy sectors in Nigeria.
Adelabu was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Accord Party (AP), respectively, in the 2019 and 2023 governorship elections in Oyo State.
Sanusi highlighted the professional journey of Adelabu, a former Deputy Governor of Operations at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), as a reflection of a commitment to excellence and national service.
Sanusi said: “Adebayo Adelabu is a leader whose contributions to Nigeria’s development, particularly in the financial and power sectors, are commendable.
“Adelabu’s leadership and vision have left an indelible mark, and I have no doubt that he will continue to serve the nation with great distinction.”
Chief Sanusi also emphasised the invaluable role of Adelabu in the Ibadan traditional hierarchy, describing him as a custodian of the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland.
He noted that, as the Agbaakin Parakoyi of Ibadanland, Adelabu has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to upholding the values and traditions of the city.
Sanusi offered prayers for continued success, good health, and greater accomplishments in Adelabu’s personal and professional life.
“As you celebrate this milestone, I pray that Allah grants you more strength, wisdom, and success in your future endeavours.
“May your leadership continue to bring progress and prosperity to our dear Ibadanland and the entire nation,” the chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort added.
“The congratulatory message from Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi reflects his deep respect and admiration for Adelabu’s legacy, as both a statesman and a traditional leader, wishing him many more fruitful years of service to his people and the nation,” it was stated in a statement.
