Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Asiwaju of Ona-Ara and Egbeda, has lauded Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde and chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government Area, Hon. Temitope Glorious, for their relentless efforts to improve the well-being of the people.
In an event that highlighted impactful governance and community progress, Chief Sanusi, renowned for his commitment to the development of the state, lauded Hon. Glorious for his outstanding achievements within his first 100 days in office.
The local government chairman had, within the period, recorded 52 significant milestones in various sectors, including infrastructure, education and youth empowerment.
The event, held to mark the 100 days in office of Hon. Glorious, saw key stakeholders, including Balogun of Ibadanland Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, the Traditional Council in Ona-Ara, Oniladutan and other dignitaries, commending the strides made under the Governor Makinde leadership.
Chief Sanusi specifically noted the active collaboration between the state government and local government areas, saying this has fostered an environment for sustainable growth.
Among the accomplishments of Hon. Glorious were the renovation and construction of critical infrastructure such as bridges, schools, health centres and public offices.
Hon. Glorious’ administration also initiated youth and women empowerment programs, environmental projects and public safety measures. The progress were attributed to the inclusive governance of the Governor Makinde administration.
Chief Sanusi, in his remarks, pointed out that Ona-Ara is reaping the benefits of Governor Makinde’s support, coupled with Hon. Glorious’ passion for his people.
“Hon. Glorious has raised the bar for what can be achieved in a short period. His focus on infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and community welfare is worthy of emulation. This aligns with Governor Makinde’s vision for a greater Oyo State,” he stated.
Chief Sanusi also congratulated Hon. Sikiru Sanda, Chairman of Egbeda Local Government Area, for what he described as his commendable achievements in the last 100 days.
Sanusi noted the synergy between both local government areas, declaring that this has spurred development across Egbeda and Ona-Ara.
Chief Sanusi led the gathering in a celebratory chant, exclaiming “52 Gbosa” in honour of Governor Seyi Makinde’s visionary leadership, which he said has enabled remarkable achievements across the state.
He restated his commitment to further collaboration and progress for the people of Ona-Ara and Egbeda, ensuring a future where every citizen enjoys the dividends of good governance.
Hon. Glorious, in his speech, assured the people of Ona-Ara that his administration would continue to deliver on its promises, with more impactful projects to come, further solidifying Ona-Ara as a model local government area in Oyo State.
