The passage of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleoso, a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG), has been described as the end of era of selfless service.
Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Chairman/CEO of Ilaji Sports and Resorts, stated this in his condolence message on the death of Koleoso who he said was a distinguished leader in Nigeria’s political landscape.
The Oke-Ogun, Oyo State-born politician died in the late hours of Monday at the age of 86 years.
Chief Sanusi, who is also the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, described the late Chief Koleoso as a towering figure who devoted his life to the betterment of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
He noted that the demise of the late Chief Koleoso marked the end of an era defined by selfless service, integrity and unwavering dedication to the people.
Reflecting on deceased’s contributions, Chief Sanusi stated: “We have lost a great patriot whose life was a testament to what it means to serve with honor and dignity.
“Chief Koleoso was not just a political icon: He was a mentor, a father figure, and a beacon of hope for many. His legacy will continue to inspire us to strive for excellence in our various capacities.”
He extended his deepest condolences to the Koleoso Family, the people of Saki and all those whose lives were touched by the deceased and his leadership. He prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved family and the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“Chief Michael Koleoso’s departure leaves a void that will be difficult to fill, but his spirit and ideals will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
“The passing of Chief Koleoso has indeed brought an era of remarkable leadership to a close. His contributions to the political and social fabric of Oyo State will forever be remembered,” Chief Sanusi stated.
