The third edition of the Akeem Kareem Foundation Lecture will take place at the Jogor Events Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday.
This year’s edition of the lecture, which starts by 11am, according to the organisers, will also witness the holding of the maiden Award of Excellence.
The symposium titled, “Soro-Soke Generation: 2023 And The Way To Go”, will have Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi, the Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, as Keynote Lecturer.
Professor Adeolu Akande, Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), is the Chairman, with Senator (Dr) Kola Balogun as the Special Guest of Honour and Honorable Ajibola Famurewa, Chairman, Osun SUBEB, is the Distinguished Guest of Honour at the lecture.
Other dignitaries expected at the one-day lecture include the Olowu of Owu Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, while Dr Yinka Ayefele, Chairman/CEO, FreshFM Nigeria, is the Chief Host.
The symposium is to be moderated by Professor Olu Ojedokun of the Department of Political Science, Lead City University, Ibadan.
Discussants include: Honorable Shina Peller, founder, Lead Generation Initiative; Honorable Dr Abd Wasi Musah, former Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly; Dr Mutiu Agboke, Resident Electoral Commissioner, INEC, Oyo State; Mrs Bolanle Sarumi Alliyu, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Diaspora Matters.
Others are Sikiru Sanda, chairman, Egbeda Local Government and chairman, Oyo State ALGON; Mr Teju Ajibowo, Publicity Secretary, African Action Congress, Oyo State chapter; Mrs Yemi Taiwo Alabi, a journalist, farmer, entrepreneur and values advocate.
Host is the founder, Akeem Kareem Foundation, Mr Olanrewaju Akeem Kareem (OAK) who is the Group Head, Human Resource and Administration, FreshFM Nigeria; he is also a public affairs analyst and passionate pro-youth individual.
