2023: Akpabio A Detribalised Nigerian We Desire As President-Group
A group of professionals, Godswill Akpabio Uncommon Transformational Support Organisation (GAUTSO), has described Senator Godswill Akpabio as a detribalised Nigerian who the country desire as its president in 2023.
The group said this at an interactive session with stakeholders, adding that Akpabio, who is Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, can foster unity among all parts of the country, if elected as president of the country come 2023.
The spokesperson of the group, Chief Bennett Akar, noted that the person who the cap fits is none other than the former Minority Leader of the Senate who is also a former governor of Akwa Ibom State.
“What we need now as a nation is someone in the mould of Godswill Akpabio who can heal the land and lead the nation in 2023 as the Pesident and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces.
“Akpabio has shown the capacity and the ability to connect with people from the North, East, West and South of this country,” Akar said.
He noted that Akpabio ticks all the boxes. “He was born in the South-South, grew up in South-West and is married to someone from the South-East. In addition, he has worked extensively in Northern Nigeria.”
Akar said that is not all, saying that the fact that Akpabio has been honoured with chieftaincy titles in all parts of Nigeria is a clear indication of his open-hearted nature, reach and penchant for interacting as well as connecting with others across religious and ethnic lines.
“These attributes place him way ahead of other aspirants as the man who can unify the nation and galvanize citizens to thrive in these tough times,” he added.
He went further to state that while Akpabio was governor of Akwa Ibom State, he operated an open-door policy where Nigerians from all walks of life and ethnicity benefited from his uncommon transformation agenda.
“We believe in a healthy, strong, vibrant, visionary and energetic young man like Akpabio who will be ready to hit the ground running from day one, if elected president.
“His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio possesses to courage and willpower to rescue our country Nigeria from the choking threats of disintegration from all corners.
“We call on all lovers of Nigeria to join hands with us to prevail on Senator Akpabio to present himself to rescue us,” Chief Akar said.
