The lawmaker said in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, that the contributions of Alhaji Ghandi to the political landscape of Oyo State cannot be over-emphasised.
Alli, the Senate Committee Chairman on INEC, said the celebrant has shown himself to be a leader of high repute as well as staunch advocate of good governance and the rule of law.
The lawmaker, representing Oyo South Senatorial District, said Ghandi has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the ideals of democracy, justice and equity.
Senator Alli said the people of Oyo State are indeed privileged to have such a man of substance among them, wishing him all the very best in life.
He prayed that the impact of Ghandi on the political and socio-economic landscape will continue to be felt for generations to come.
“We acknowledge his contributions to the development of our nation and his dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of compatriots.
“We join other well-meaning Nigerians in expressing our admiration for the celebrant. We pray that the Almighty grant him many more years of good health, happiness and fulfilment.
