A young man has taken to the Social Media to celebrate his ‘escape’ from what he inferred to as hardships in Nigeria under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
His actions and utterances depicted that of somebody who had, for long, been frustrated and desperate to find his way out of the country.
The jubilant young man, was seen in a 36-second video rolling on the floor in a public space, apparently outside the shores of the country, ecstatically announcing his arrival at the country of his destination.
He said he has made good his escape from Nigeria, a country which he described as a land of slavery.
The young man loudly gave thanks to God for enabling him to eventually get out of Nigeria, noting that he has left the country for good.
Speaking in his local dialect, the young man announced to his apparently would-be hosts that he has finally arrived as their responsibility.
“I have arrived!!! I have come to you as your responsibility. God, I have escaped from Nigeria. Ah!!! I have arrived; I have escaped from Buhari. I, the son of a tiger, have escaped from Buhari.
“May my head never suffer a misfortune. Common, let us go. Thank you Lord, the God of the universe. I thank You; You liberated me from the land of slavery…,” the young man said in his local dialect.
There has been a steady rise in the number of Nigerians, male and female, old and young, who have been besieging foreign embassies, seeking to find their ways out of the country.
The increasing quest for seeking refuge outside Nigeria has been attributed to the pervading state of insecurity and rising level of unemployment in the country.
While, the foreign countries are increasingly becoming hostile to migrants, especially from this part of the world, many Nigerians are of the belief that the foreign lands would give them succour from their hardships.
