Oyo State chapter of the National Association for Persons With Disability (JONAPWD) has declared its support for Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi ahead the 2027 governorship election.
Members of the association made the declaration on Thursday after a dinner and interactive session with Sanusi, Chairman/CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort.
JONAPWD stated that the support for the governorship ambition of Sanusi was in recognition of his unwavering dedication to the welfare of persons with disabilities and humanity at large.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Evangelist Olukoya JP, was full of praises for the governorship aspirant for his exceptional commitment to the disabled community.
Olukoya, a pioneer advocate for persons with disabilities for over 30 years, declared that Chief Sanusi’s support is unparalleled.
“In all my years of advocating for persons with disabilities, I have never seen someone so genuinely dedicated to our cause like Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi.
“His vision and compassion reflect the faithful governance we currently enjoy under Governor Seyi Makinde. We are confident that this will continue when he assumes office in 2027,” he said.
Mr. Ajibade Oluwayemisi, Convener and Coordinator of JONAPWD (Ona Ara Chapter), also commended Chief Sanusi for his ongoing efforts to uplift and empower the disabled community.
He emphasised the vital role Chief Sanusi always play in ensuring that persons with disabilities receive adequate care and support. He also highlighted the long-standing dedication of the governorship aspirant to social justice.
Mr. Oluwayemisi also thanked the chairman of Ona Ara Local Government Area, Dr. Temitope Glorious, for his efforts in providing empowerment programmes for the disabled, particularly during the commemoration of his first 100 days in office.
“This dinner underscores the firm belief of the disability community in the leadership of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi and the bright future he envisions for Oyo State, promising a continuation of compassionate governance and inclusivity, come 2027,” it was stated in a statement.
