The ambition of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi to become the next governor of Oyo State has received a boost as three other groups have declared their support for him.
Three groups, the “Idẹra De Brothers and Sisters”, alongside the Eleyele Market Traders and the Association of Corn and Pepper Millers of Oyo State (Ibadan North chapter), on Friday, expressed their support for Sanusi, Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The three groups made the declaration during a solidarity visit to Chief Sanusi at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort.
The groups were led by notable figures, including Mrs. Modupe Olaniji (Idẹra De), Parakoyi of Eleyele Market, Chief Akeem Abiola (Eleyele Market Traders) and Mr. Alabi Kazeem (Association of Corn and Pepper Millers).
The groups, in their separate goodwill messages, expressed confidence in Chief Sanusi and declared their unwavering support for him for his vision and leadership.
They expressed their belief in the ability of Sanusi to drive progress and development of Oyo State and the people.
In his response, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi expressed his deep gratitude to the three groups for their overwhelming support.
He reaffirmed his commitment to pursuing policies that will improve the welfare of the people of Oyo State and also create lasting positive change.
The event was graced by some personalities, including a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Chief Waheed Ajao Adurodekun and the Iyaloja of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje, among others.
“This declaration of support marks a significant milestone in Chief Sanusi’s growing grassroots movement as he prepares to officially contest for the Oyo State governorship in the 2027 elections,” it was stated in a release.
