The remains of the late Evangelist (Mrs) Helen Eromoelen Odunayo Akintola will be buried in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Friday, 8 November, 2024.
The final interment of the deceased will take place after a four-day funeral programme, commencing from Tuesday, 5 November, 2024.
This was contained in a funeral programme released by the Akintola Family of Iresaadu, Ogbomoso, Oyo State and Ehimatie Family of Okhaigbe-Ebholkhimi in Esan South Local Government Area of Edo State.
The deceased died on 30 September, 2024, after a brief illness.
The funeral arrangements are as follows: Valedictory Crusade, Tuesday, 5 November and Wednesday, 6 November, 2024.
The Valedictory Crusade shall be held at the Matthew Akintola Gospel Crusade Ministry Headquarters, LSG Junction, Randa Area, Ogbomoso.
Evangelist Akinleye David would be preaching on “The Eternal Consequences of Rejecting Jesus.”
A Service of Songs shall be held at the Antioch Baptist Church, opposite Bowen Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso by 4:00pm on Thursday.
The funeral service would take place at the Antioch Baptist Church, opposite Bowen Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso by 10:00am on Friday.
The deceased woman evangelist was survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and siblings.
Speaking on his late wife, Evangelist Matthew Akintola JP described Evangelist Helen Odunayo Akintola as a devoted servant of God whose life was dedicated to evangelism and spreading the word of God.
“Evangelist Helen was my wife of about 34 years and, together, we established Matthew Akintola Gospel Crusade and Resurrection Power Evangelistic Ministries, an open-air evangelistic ministry.
“We traversed the nooks and corners of the Ogbomoso Zone, spreading messages of salvation with unwavering dedication.
“The legacy of faith, love, and dedication to evangelism by Evangelist Helen will forever be remembered. Please join us as we celebrate her life and bid her farewell,” Evangelist Matthew Akintola added.
