The JDS Free Medical Outreach will reach out to residents of Ona Ara Local Government Area today, marking the completion of outreach efforts across all the 33 local government areas in the state.
The free medical outreach is a significant initiative aimed at providing essential healthcare services to people in underserved communities.
Spearheaded by renowned philanthropist, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Chairman/CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, the free medical outreach has been a beacon of hope for many residents, offering free medical consultations, treatments, and essential health services.
The programme has covered 10 local government areas in the Oke-Ogun region, five in Ogbomoso, four in the Oyo Alaafin area, and 11 local government areas in Ibadan, providing critical healthcare access to thousands of individuals.
The free medical outreach initiative aimed to bridge the healthcare gap in rural areas and ensure that quality medical care is accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial status.
Since its inception, the JDS Free Medical Outreach has successfully reached thousands of individuals, providing services such as general health check-ups, vaccinations, maternal and child health services, and treatment for various ailments.
The programme has not only addressed immediate health concerns, but has also focused on raising awareness about preventive care and healthy living practices within the communities.
In Ona Ara Local Government Area, the final leg of the free medical outreach will feature a robust lineup of medical professionals, including doctors, nurses and volunteers, all dedicated to delivering comprehensive healthcare services.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity, as the outreach will attend to a wide range of health issues and provide guidance on maintaining overall well-being.
Meanwhile, Chief Dotun Sanusi has expressed his commitment to continuing such initiatives, emphasising the importance of community health in fostering a prosperous society.
“Health is a fundamental right and, through this outreach, we aim to ensure that every individual has access to the medical care they deserve.
“Completing this outreach across all the 33 local government areas is a significant milestone, but our work doesn’t end here. We will continue to seek ways to support and uplift our communities,” he assured.
Dotun Sanusi urged residents of Ona Ara to come out en masse to take advantage of the opportunity to check their health status.
“We encourage everyone to participate in this final outreach. Health is a fundamental right, and it is crucial for every individual to have access to the medical care they deserve,” the sponsor of the JDS Free Medical Outreach added.
