Residents from 22 local government areas across Oyo State have benefited from the Free Medical Outreach sponsored by Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The initiative has successfully reached 22 local government areas, while the 11 local government areas in the Ibadan Zone is yet to be covered.
The outreach, organised by the Jubril Dotun Sanusi Actualisation Team, is a testament to Sanusi’s commitment to philanthropy and community health.
Sanusi, Chairman/CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, has dedicated significant resources towards improving healthcare access for underprivileged communities throughout the state.
Prince Adeyemo Amosun, the coordinator of the Jubril Dotun Sanusi Actualisation Team, spoke about the initiative.
He said: “The philanthropic gesture of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi knows no bounds. It cuts across everywhere, especially for the poor and needy. Good health is very important as it serves as the foundation of our existence in life.”
The outreach included various services such as free medical tests, administration of medications, and the distribution of foodstuffs to beneficiaries.
Amosun stated further: “We are committed to ensuring that everyone in our communities has access to basic healthcare. This initiative is not just about politics; it is rooted in our shared humanity.”
Amosun highlighted the long-standing commitment of Chief Sanusi to community welfare. “Chief Sanusi has been helping people even before the political season. This outreach is a testament to his dedication to the well-being of the people,” he said.
He also expressed hope that Chief Sanusi would consider the increasing calls for him to run in the 2027 governorship race.
Beneficiaries of the outreach have been expressing immense gratitude to Sanusi for the services provided. Many others praised the initiative for its positive impact on their health and overall well-being.
Several residents pledged their loyalty to Chief Sanusi, urging him to heed the calls for his candidacy in the 2027 governorship election.
The Free Medical Outreach has already made significant strides in various regions of Oyo State, successfully covering: Oyo Zone-Oyo East, Oyo West, Afijio, Atiba; Ogbomoso Zone-Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Surulere, Ogo-Oluwa;
Oke Ogun Zone-Iseyin, Saki, Saki East, Saki West, Atisbo, Iwajowa, Itesiwaju, Orelope, Olorunsogo, Irepo; Ibarapa Zone-Ibarapa East, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa North.
The 11 local government areas in the Ibadan Zone that are yet to receive the Free Medical Outreach included Ibadan North, Ibadan North-East, Ibadan North-West, Ibadan South-East, Ibadan South-West, Atiba, Akinyele, Egbeda, Atisbo, Ido and Afijio.
Meanwhile, the Jubril Dotun Sanusi Actualisation Team had restated its commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind in the Free Medical Outreach programme. The team reinforced the importance of health and wellness for all residents of Oyo State.
