The Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, has approved the redeployments and appointments of six key management members into the Service.
The appointments of the new members was aimed at enhancing strategic service delivery and also helped the NCS to achieve its core mandates.
The new appointments, in acting capacity and redeployment, followed the statutory retirement of some members of the Management Team of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
The new appointments and redeployments were stated in a press release on Friday by the National Public Relations Officer (NPRO), Chief Superintendent of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada.
A breakdown of the appointments and redeployment included B. M. Jibo, DCG Finance Administration and Technical Services (FATS); O. A. Alajogun, Ag. DCG Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I).
Others were I. G. Umar, Ag. ACG Headquarters; O. A. Salefu, Ag. ACG Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC); B. A. Makinde, Ag. ACG Human Resource Development (HRD); and T. Bomodi, Ag. ACG Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I).
The CGC noted that the appointments were a testament to the officers’ exemplary services and dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service.
This was as he stated that Service remained committed committed to providing strategic leadership to ensure effective and efficient service delivery for optimum performance.
The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, thanked the retired members of the Management team for their meritorious services.
CGC Adeniyi congratulated the newly-appointed members of the NCS Management team.
He also charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure that the Service achieves greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation.
