Oyo State governor, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde, on Friday, approved the appointment of Col. Oladipo James Ajibola (rtd) as the Director-General, Operation Burst.
This was as he also appointed 11 other people as senior special assistants and special assistants.
The other new appointees included Mrs Bosede Sodiq (who was elevated to become Senior Special Assistant, Broadcast Media); and Mr Kehinde Oluwaseyi Ogunsanya (Senior Special Assistant, Economic Planning).
Mr Moshope Adebayo Akande was also appointed as Senior Special Assistant (Information Communication Technology (ICT).
The other new appointees included Mr Albert Adebowale Ogunyemi and Mr Otuowho Jesse Onoriode who were appointed as Special Assistants, Photographers 1 and 2, respectively, to the Governor.
Mr Oyebode Babatunde and Mr Adeyanju Daniel Akinloye were, respectively, appointed as Special Assistant, Transport 1 and 2 to the Governor.
Mr Moses Adebayo Alao, who served during the first term tenure of the Governor Makinde administration, was retained as Special Assistant (Print Media)
Other appointees were Mr Fisayo Daramola (Special Assistant, Digital Media); Mr Ogunbowale Oladayo Olajuwon Special Assistant, Communication); and Mr Ademola Aderinto (Special Assistant, Environment).
The appointments were contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Segun Ogunwuyi.
As stated in a release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, all the appointments were with immediate effect.
Governor Makinde congratulated the new appointees and asked them to see their appointment as a further call to service.
He also urged them to discharge their duties with absolute loyalty, dedication and diligence.
The governor had earlier today stated that he would put his cabinet in place within the next two weeks for an effective running of his second term administration.
He had also announced that the names of other commissioner-nominees will be sent to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Names of seven nominees had earlier been forwarded to the state legislature for screening and confirmation.
