Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has retained retired Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni and a former chairman of the state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo, as special advisers.
Owoseni and Titilola-Sodo retained their previous portfolios as Special Advisers on Security and Labour Matters, respectively.
This is as the governor reappointed Mr Segun Adegoke (a retired Assistant Comptroller of Immigration) as the Special Adviser on Homeland Security.
The re-appointments were contained in a letter signed the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Segun Ogunwuyi.
Makinde equally approved the appointment of the immediate past state Commissioner for Trades and Commerce, Chief Bayo Lawal, as Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties.
Other appointments approved by the governor were Mr. Olatilewa Folami (Director-General, Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership (OYSIPA).
Mr. Elias Adeojo (Chairman, Water Corporation of Oyo State); Mr. Olufemi Awakan (Chairman, Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue).
Dr. Debo Akande was appointed as Executive Adviser, Agribusiness, International Cooperation and Development & Director-General, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).
Governor Makinde charged the re-appointed and the newly-appointed to see their appointments as further call to service.
He also urged them to discharge their duties with dedication and absolute loyalty to the state.
The appointments, as stated in the letter, are with immediate effect, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, stated in a release.
