‘BRA’, the latest song by Janeykrest, burning the streets of Lagos right now, has been adopted as the official song for this year’s ‘No Bra Day’.
No Bra Day is celebrated worldwide every 13th October.
It is an annual observance by which women are encouraged to go braless as a means to encourage Breast Cancer Awareness.
The beautiful catchy song, ‘BRA’, by Janeykrest, a super-talented artist living with albinism, will be used as the official song for this year’s celebration.
Seyi Allen, renowned star maker and artist manager of great repute, made the disclosures in a press release.
With this new development, the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign will be given its own anthem, “As it stands, that is not the case. Now is the time to correct that.”
Janeykrest said: “Our goal is to make sure that attaching the catchy ‘BRA’ song to this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness programmes will ensure that everytime the world grooves and vibes to this song, the Breast Cancer Awareness is spreading.”
Seyi Allen, who is Janeykrest’s manager and label owner, added: “A lot can be said about the impact of music in the advancement of campaigns: music spreads a message faster than word of mouth.
“The song, ‘BRA’, is a very catchy street song already gaining traction. Attaching it to a higher purpose of Breast Cancer Awareness is the right thing to do.
“And at Seyi Allen Music Machine, we believe in always doing the right thing.”
The music star maker and artist manager also disclosed that the Janeykrest BRA campaign will be taken round neighbourhoods in Lagos.
“All through the month of October, the Janeykrest BRA Campaign will be visiting neighbourhoods across Lagos.
“The goal is to get to 5000 neighbourhoods and communities across Lagos, playing music and talking about breast cancer, and how to detect it early.
“Watch out for the BRA campaign in your neighbourhood,” Seyi Allen stated in the release.
