Oluwo Visits Olubadan-Designate
Oba Abdurasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu I, the Oluwo of Iwo, on Friday, paid a symbolic visit to the Olubadan-designate, Dr Lekan Balogun.
The Oluwo, during the visit, immediately entered into a closed-door meeting with the Olubadan-Designate where he also had a private chat with the wife of the next traditional ruler of Ibadanland.
It would be recalled that the Olubadan-In-Council, following a meeting held on Thursday, announced Dr Lekan Balogun as the next Olubadan of Ibadan.
The visit of the Oluwo was symbolic as the traditional ruler has a maternally relationship with the Alliwo Lineage, the source of the Olubadan-designate.
The Oluwo of Iwoland is maternally related to the Alliwo Compound where he was said to have lived for many years.
A source present at the meeting told Newscoven.ng that the visit of the Oluwo of Iwoland was a friendly father and son meeting.
“It was a friendly father/son discussion. He prayed for good health and long life for Kabiyesi. He also a private chat with Kabiyesi and Olori in the inner room.
“The Oluwo of Iwoland is maternally from Alliwo and lived many years in Alliwo compound,” the source further said.
