We Should Remember Essence Of Christmas
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Let us remember always why we created this beautiful Yuletide Season for ourselves.
First, it was to celebrate the love that God Almighty showed us by sending his only Son to redeem us. Let’s celebrate this season by loving God with all our ????,soul and mind.
Second, let’s celebrate by loving our neighbors as ourselves. The birth of Jesus Christ was to give us a much-needed opportunity for reconciliation with God and indeed fellow human beings.
This season therefore provides us an opportunity to seek reconciliation with God and all those persons that we have broken relationship with.
This season provides an opportunity to abandon and terminate the hatred against persons, communities, religious bodies and societies that provide the driving force for the so much bloodletting, terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and violence that pervades the world. This season provides the opportunity for all of these wanton criminalities to stop.
This season provides an opportunity for our leaders in government and politics to show love to the people by providing dedicated service to the people that will guarantee security of life and property, banish hunger, poverty and joblessness and provide the optimum good for the maximum number of people. Then our leaders would have shown true love and established genuine reconciliation.
The turkey, special food, the bright dresses and decorations, etc, are just superficial exhibition of human vanity. The restoration of love for God and reconciliation with those we are disconnected with are the true requirements from us all, both the governed and the governing classes, this season.
Finally, “let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)
YOU MAKE THE CHRISTMAS MERRY WHEN YOU DO THIS. THE TIME IS NOW.
If we don’t do it now, we will find that is running out on us.
