Chief Isaac Omodewu, chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been described as a rallying point who will be greatly missed by leaders and members of the party in the state.
Senator Kola Balogun stated this in a statement to commiserate with the family and members of the Oyo APC on the demise of the state party chairman.

Senator Balogun, who represented Oyo South Senatorial District in the ninth National Assembly, also described the death of Omodewu as “too early, shocking and devastating.”
He commiserated with the family of the deceased and members of Oyo APC, urging them to take solace in the fact that the late Omodewu lived a fulfilled life as an exemplary party leader.
“It was with great sadness that I received the news of the passage of, Chief Isaac Omodewu, the Oyo State chairman of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“His death was too early, too shocking and devastating. Though we all have a date with death, the ultimate end of all humans, I never thought that Omodewu would leave us this early.
“The late Oyo APC chairman is relatively a young man who we believed still has many years ahead of him. But who are we to query the almighty God? He gives and he takes.
“On behalf of my wife, Mrs Gbonjubola Kola-Balogun and myself, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the wife and children of our departed chairman.
“As painful as his death was, I can only plead with his wife and children, as well as other members of the family to accept what cannot be changed.
“You should also be consoled by the fact that he was a man who lived a fulfilled life. May God grant you the courage to bear the sad loss.
“Chief Omodewu was a loyal party leader and strong rallying point in the Oyo State chapter of the APC. He worked tirelessly to ensure peace and unity in the party as its chairman.
“He was an exemplary party leader who did everything humanly possible to foster unity in the Oyo APC fold. He was unwavering in his dedication to the cause of the party and its members.
“The death of Chief Omodewu is sad and painful, but it is appointed unto man to live and to die. As human beings, we all have our dates with death.
“For us in Oyo APC, we shall sorely miss our chairman, Chief Isaac Omodewu. May God grant his soul a peaceful rest,” Senator Balogun stated in the statement.
