Unknown gunmen have killed a middle-aged okada rider at the Orogun Expressway area of Ojoo in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The man, the whose name was not disclosed, was shot in the head.
Newscoven.ng gathered that the incident might have happened on Tuesday night as the blood of the victim had coagulated, while the key of his motorcycle was left beside him.
Some passersby, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the man could have been shot while struggling with the armed men.
They also explained that robbery along the highway was a common phenomenon in recent times.
Sympathizers were also seen commenting at the scene of the incident and calling on security operatives to beef up security in the area.
When contacted, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Adewale Osifeso, said the police would provide update on the killing in due course.
