The late Chief (Mrs) Justina Iyabo Ogundoyin has been described as a great woman and a fantastic mother who gave her best to humanity.
Senator Kola Balogun stated this in a condolence message to the family of the prominent political and community woman leader who died on Sunday at the age of 63.
The late Chief (Mrs) Ogundoyin was the Iyaloja General of Ibarapaland and the fourth wife of the late renowned business mogul and philanthropist, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin.
Reacting to the demise of the woman, Senator Balogun stated that her death was a huge loss, both personally and to the entire people of Ibarapaland.
“The late Chief (Mrs) Justina Ogundoyin was a great woman, fantastic mother. I still find it difficult to believe that she is no more.
“She was my very personal person, whom I maintained very cordial relationship with, even when we were no longer members of the same political party.
“I am devastated by the news of her passing on to glory. Her death is indeed a huge loss, both to me and to the entire people of Ibarapaland.
“May God grant her eternal peace, the family, and the people of Ibarapaland the fortitude to bear this tragic loss,” Senator Kola Balogun stated in the statement.
The late Chief Mrs Justina Iyabo Ogundoyin is survived by four children, Adesoji, Adebo (the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly), Adetoye and Aderemi.
Breaking the news of the passage of his mother yesterday evening, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin, said she died after a brief illness.
Honourable Ogundoyin, in a statement, described the death of his mother as devasting and shocking. He added: “My mum just bid farewell to this sinful world.
“This is really painful and nothing can be more painful than this to me and my entire family.
“She was a good mum to everyone of us and she was a good person to so many people. We have lost our jewel of inestimable value.
“To me there are no words to explain the grief and sorrow I am feeling at the moment.
“We will forever cherish the fond memories we had with her. She was the best mother anyone could have.”
